01Who we are and what this covers
Persive Tech Solution (“Persive”, “we”, “us”) is a software company based in Pune, Maharashtra, India. This policy explains what personal data we handle, why, and what you can do about it. It covers:
- persive.in — this website.
- Persive WhatsApp Automation Platform — a portal where a business (a coaching academy, shop, clinic and so on) connects its own WhatsApp Business number and runs automated conversations: enquiry handling, fee and appointment reminders, receipts, attendance and result notifications, and a shared inbox where staff can take over a chat from the bot.
- Swapnayaan (swapnayaan.in) — an intelligent learning platform for practice, mock tests and honest performance analysis.
In this policy, a client is a business that signs up for the WhatsApp Automation Platform. An end customer is a person who messages a client's WhatsApp number — a student, parent, patient or shopper.
02Our two roles
We play a different part depending on whose data it is.
We are the data controller for
- visitors to persive.in;
- our clients — the businesses that use the platform, and the staff accounts they create;
- people who sign up for Swapnayaan.
For this data we decide what is collected and why, and we answer for it.
We are a data processor for
- the end customers of our clients — the people who message a client's WhatsApp number.
Here the client business is the controller. We handle the data only on that client's instructions, to run the conversations the client has set up. We do not decide what those people are messaged about, and we do not use their data for anything of our own.
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, a controller is called a data fiduciary. Where this policy says controller, read data fiduciary.
03What we collect
Client account data
- Name, email address and phone number.
- Business name and your role in it.
- Password — stored only as a one-way hash. Nobody at Persive can read it, and it cannot be recovered; if you forget it, you reset it.
- Audit logs of actions taken in the portal: who signed in, who changed a setting, who sent or took over a conversation, and when.
WhatsApp Business account data we receive from Meta
When a client connects a WhatsApp number, Meta sends us:
- the WhatsApp Business Account ID;
- the business phone number and its phone number ID;
- the verified display name;
- the number's quality rating;
- the client's message templates;
- an access token that lets the platform send and receive messages for that number. The token is encrypted at rest. It is never shown in a browser and never written to logs.
End-customer conversation data
For the people who message a client's number:
- WhatsApp phone number and WhatsApp profile name;
- message content — text, images and documents sent to or from the business number;
- delivery and read status of each message;
- any records the client business itself stores in the platform about that person — for example a student's batch, fee status, attendance or results, or a patient's appointment time.
Swapnayaan learner data
- Name, email address and phone number used to sign up.
- Practice and mock-test activity, answers and scores.
Technical data
- IP address and browser type;
- timestamps of requests;
- error logs.
persive.in uses no advertising or tracking cookies. The portal and Swapnayaan use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in.
04Why we use it
| Data | What we use it for |
|---|---|
| Client account data | Creating and running your account, signing you in, support, billing, and keeping a record of who did what for security. |
| WhatsApp Business account data | Sending and receiving messages on the client's number, showing template and quality status in the portal. |
| End-customer conversation data | Delivering the service the client has configured — replies, reminders, receipts and notifications — and showing the conversation to the client's staff in the shared inbox. |
| Swapnayaan learner data | Running your account, scoring tests and showing your performance analysis. |
| Technical data | Security, abuse prevention, finding and fixing errors. |
| Any of the above | Meeting legal obligations, such as tax records or a lawful order. |
05Legal basis
- Client and Swapnayaan account data — we need it to perform our contract with you.
- End-customer data — the client business relies on its own lawful basis (usually the person's consent, or an existing relationship such as being enrolled at the academy). We process it on the client's documented instructions.
- Technical data — our legitimate need to keep the service secure and working.
- Records we must keep by law — legal obligation.
06Data from Meta and WhatsApp
- Data we get through Meta's APIs is used only to provide the client's own messaging automation, and for no other purpose.
- Access tokens are stored encrypted. They are revoked and deleted when a client disconnects their number or closes their account.
- We never combine data from different client businesses. Every record belongs to one workspace, and one client cannot see another client's data.
- We do not use WhatsApp data for advertising, profiling, or to build any product other than the client's automation.
08How long we keep it
- Conversations, media and client records — kept for as long as the client's account is open. A client can delete conversations or records at any time from the portal.
- After an account is closed — all of that workspace's data is deleted within 90 days.
- Access tokens — revoked and deleted straight away when a number is disconnected or the account is closed.
- Backups — encrypted, and rotated out within 30 days. Deleted data disappears from backups on that cycle.
- Deletion requests — completed within 30 days. See Data Deletion Instructions.
- Billing and tax records — kept for as long as Indian tax law requires.
09Your rights
You can ask us to:
- give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- correct data that is wrong or out of date;
- delete your data;
- export your data in a usable format;
- stop using your data for a particular purpose.
Email support@persive.in from the address on your account, or tell us the WhatsApp number concerned. We reply within 30 days. We may ask you to confirm it is really you before we act.
Messaged a business that uses Persive? That business controls your data, so please contact them first. If you write to us instead, we will pass your request on to them and help them act on it.
10Children
The WhatsApp Automation Platform is sold to businesses. It is not meant for individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly open client accounts for them.
Academies and coaching classes may store student records in the platform. Those records are supplied and controlled by the academy, not by Persive. The academy is responsible for having the consent of a parent or guardian where the law requires it.
11How we protect it
- All traffic is encrypted in transit over HTTPS.
- WhatsApp access tokens are encrypted at rest.
- Passwords are stored only as one-way hashes.
- Each client's data is isolated in its own workspace.
- Actions in the portal are logged, so access can be traced.
- Accounts lock after repeated failed sign-in attempts.
12Where it is processed
We process data in India. To deliver WhatsApp messages, Meta may process message data outside India, under Meta's own terms and safeguards.
13Changes to this policy
When we change this policy we update the date at the top. If a change affects how we use your data in a meaningful way, we will email clients and show a notice in the portal before it takes effect.
14Contact
For any privacy question, request or complaint, email support@persive.in. We reply within 30 days.
